Research

Since 2012 I have conducted international research on children and young people’s emotional distress in the face of the climate and ecological crisis.

As a PhD candidate in Education at the University of Bath, I have been researching children and young people’s relationship with nature and feelings, including eco-anxiety, about the climate and biodiversity crisis for many years. I have undertaken research with children and young people across the world, including the UK, Brazil, the USA, the Maldives, Nigeria & Bangladesh.

My psychotherapy dissertation explored grief and depression and our relationship with the sea and salt water, both real and imaginal.
