About

I am a lecturer at the University of Bath in social work and climate psychology, a practicing ‘climate-aware ’psychotherapist, and a researcher focused on eco anxiety and distress about the climate and ecological crisis in children and young people globally.

I have worked in social work since 1983 and as an Integrative Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist with children, couples and adults for 25 years. I qualified as a psychotherapist with Revision and studied archetypal and cultural psychology for three years with Thiasos in London.

I work with individuals, schools, parent groups and youth activist groups, offering talks and workshops about the climate and ecological crises and their intersection with mental health.

I am also a PADI diving instructor and have spent many therapeutic hours hanging out with fish working underwater in the Sinai, Egypt.
